“While He spoke these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped Him, saying, ‘My daughter has just died, but come and lay Your hand on her and she will live.’” —Matthew 9:18 (NKJV)
One of the problems we face in Christendom today is that many people lack the faith to believe what they are supposed to believe. Sadly, many Christians around the world prefer to believe the opposite of what the Bible teaches. They would rather believe in death than in life, in poverty than in prosperity, and in sickness than in divine healing. It is often easier for a believer to assume a healing miracle is fake than to accept it as the truth. Similarly, it is easier to believe that someone with kidney failure will die than to believe they can receive a new kidney without a medical transplant.
Most people do not see miracles for what they are anymore. However, the Bible tells us the story of a ruler whose daughter had died. He left his home to look for Jesus. Upon finding Him, the man declared that his daughter was dead, yet he knew she only needed Jesus to come and lay hands on her to be raised back to life. Notice what happens next:
“He said to them, ‘Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.’ And they ridiculed Him. But when the crowd was put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.” —Matthew 9:24-25 (NKJV)
Did you see that? The ruler believed in the impossible while facing an impossible situation, and he received his miracle. In the same way, if you can believe God for the impossible, a miracle will surely take place in your life. The question is, what do you believe? I dare you to believe the impossible, and watch the miraculous unfold in your life.

Holy Father, I thank You for putting the seed of faith in me and providing what is required to bring my desires to pass. I know and agree with You that faith is the victory I require. Therefore, my faith is active, and I believe every word You have spoken to me because Your word never fails. Hallelujah!
