“Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.” — Ecclesiastes 11:1 (NKJV)

One of the secrets to receiving a massive harvest is sowing seeds consistently. Some people today doubt the necessity of sowing because they feel they are merely giving to another person. However, the truth remains that seed sowing is a major kingdom principle designed to bring us increase whenever we need it.

The only condition is that you must be willing to let go before the increase can come. Our opening scripture reminds us, “Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days.” — Ecclesiastes 11:1 (NKJV). Similarly, the book of Proverbs tells us, “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.” — Proverbs 11:24 (NKJV). Did you catch that? This shows us that if you want a harvest, you must be ready and willing to part with your seed. Once you do, you can get ready for the harvest to follow.

The idea of withholding more than is right is a worldly mindset that does no one any good; it only breeds poverty and suffering. If you want to disconnect yourself from the world’s failing systems, you must learn to practice the principle of giving. Make it your lifestyle, and I guarantee you will live far above the standard of this world.

Refuse to let anyone confuse or discourage you. Giving is a powerful truth that will completely change your life in the shortest possible time. Make up your mind to put this principle to work this season. The Bible says, “The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself. The people will curse him who withholds grain, but blessing will be on the head of him who sells it.” — Proverbs 11:25–26 (NKJV). Go ahead and step into your harvest today. God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

The idea of withholding more than is right is a worldly principle, but the idea of releasing is a kingdom principle that will change your life!

Prayer

All-powerful and ever-living Father, I thank You for giving us principles that can change our lives and help us live above the standards of this world. I declare today that the grace to always practice this principle rests upon me, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
