Black letters on the book

Are any among you in trouble? They should pray. Are any among you happy? They should sing praises. — James 5:13 (GNT)

Years ago, a woman sought counseling regarding a very disturbing situation. She was deeply troubled by the circumstances surrounding her. I told her not to panic and explained that she simply needed to pray about the situation. When she heard this, she stared at me as if I didn’t know what I was saying. I insisted that she needed to pray, and although she didn’t quite agree, she decided to follow the counsel anyway.

I prayed with her and gave her further instructions. A few days later, she returned with a completely different report. This time, she was smiling because she had found a solution following our prayer. Beloved, no matter what you face or go through, you must never underestimate the power of prayer.

Over the years, I have watched many believers treat prayer lightly. When they face difficulties, they often seek help from others instead of taking the matter to God. While seeking help isn’t inherently bad, the challenge arises when it becomes the first resort. We often forget that humans are limited in the answers they can provide.

If you truly want a lasting result in your situation, you must make a conscious decision to pray diligently and committedly. First, this is the recommendation given to us in the Scriptures. …Are any among you in trouble? They should pray… — James 5:13 (GNT). Secondly, prayer is the most trusted way to resolve a situation without losing your dignity or facing disappointment from men.

If you pray wholeheartedly and consistently, you will surely see the results you seek. The challenge is that many of God’s people do not pray consistently. They pray, but they lack persistence or wholeheartedness. If you want your story to be different, handle your matters through diligent prayer.

God has promised: if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. — 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV). Do the needful today!

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful revelation. I receive the grace to pray consistently until I receive the answers to my prayers, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
