Whenever people notice symptoms in their body, they are often quick to run to the hospital for a checkup. They place so much importance on medical attention that they feel uneasy until they see a doctor. Many even believe they cannot recover without medical intervention. Unconsciously, they become entirely dependent on medicine and what it offers. While medical science is beneficial, God has called us to live a higher life in Christ Jesus—a life that requires a renewed mindset.
Beloved, you must learn to depend on God and the life He gave you through the finished work of His Son, Jesus. Train yourself to rely on the vitality and power of that divine life rather than depending solely on medicine. Cultivating this mindset takes intentional practice. If you rush to the hospital for every minor discomfort, you risk becoming completely dependent on medical solutions to stay healthy. The real danger arises when you face a situation medicine cannot cure, making it difficult to put your faith to work.
Therefore, I encourage you to depend fully on God and His life in you for sound health. Scripture reminds us, “…if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” —Romans 8:11 (NKJV). Lean continuously on God, His Word, and His life in you. Let God’s Word be your medicine, and do not hesitate to stand in faith—rebuking and casting out anything that causes discomfort in your body. Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for reminding me of the life You have called me to live in Christ Jesus. I declare that henceforth, I walk conscious of this life, and by reason of my walk, an irrevocable law is unlocked in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
