The ransom of a man’s life is his wealth… —Proverbs 13:8 (AMP)
In the first part of this devotional, we established the importance of securing your life through giving. God wants you to make generosity a lifestyle because Scripture holds no promised blessings for the receiver. Every biblical promise is reserved for those who give, not those who merely hold out their hands expecting to receive.
Jesus emphasized this principle in Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” —Luke 6:38 (NKJV). Similarly, the Apostle Paul reminded believers to “…remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” —Acts 20:35 (NKJV). While many other scriptures affirm this truth, the core principle is clear: giving continuously positions you to receive God’s favor.
When you give to God, support His work, and assist the poor, you open the door to financial abundance, promotion, protection, and divine healing. Psalm 41:1–3 highlights these incredible promises: “Happy are those who are concerned for the poor; the Lord will help them when they are in trouble. The Lord will protect them and preserve their lives; he will make them happy in the land; he will not abandon them to the power of their enemies. The Lord will help them when they are sick and will restore them to health.” —Psalm 41:1–3 (GNB).
Consider giving to God and supporting those in need today, and watch Him shower you with His blessings. Generosity keeps you above life’s challenges, regardless of the forces trying to pull you down. Start giving today and secure every area of your life. Praise God!

Confession for the Day
My wealth is a ransom for my life; therefore, I refuse to hold back. I freely give to spread the Gospel and empower those who are less privileged. I declare that as I give today, I am reaping a hundredfold harvest from every seed sown, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
