Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world… —Philippians 2:14-15 (NKJV)

When you study the Bible, the way to live as a Christian is well spelled out. If you choose to follow the Scriptures, your life will always move from glory to glory. This is because the Word of God gives you wisdom that will consistently promote you in all areas of life. One vital lesson you will always learn when you devote yourself to the Scriptures is the wisdom to quit complaining. In our opening passage, the Bible commands us to do all things without complaining.

Did you catch that? As we carry on in our Christian walk, we must avoid complaining at all costs. We need to focus on the light in every situation and turn our eyes away from things that tempt us to complain. You might ask, why is this so important? The simple reason is that complaining never solves a problem. What truly resolves an issue is praying about it and actively taking steps toward a solution.

Complaining only spoils things and makes matters worse. Sadly, that is how many folks choose to live their lives today. They literally complain about everything that crosses their path and are never satisfied with the way things are done. They constantly find fault and express their dissatisfaction, but the truth is that this is simply not a good way to live.

Complaining over everything puts us in a negative light and often reveals an ungrateful heart. This is exactly why we must stay away from a murmuring spirit. Rather than focusing on the negative, we must learn to channel our energy into seeking God’s help. So, I admonish you today: pray more and avoid complaining at all costs.

Today’s Rhema

No matter how much you complain, it will not solve your problems, so desist from it!

Confession for the Day

Having understood that complaining does not solve issues, I refuse to complain. Instead, I choose to pray at all times. As I do, I subdue the challenges of life, make continuous progress, and change levels in the name of Jesus. Amen!
