“Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world…” —Philippians 2:14-15 (NKJV)
In the first part of this article, we established the importance of praying more and staying away from all complaints. You need to understand that this is the best path to take if you truly want to overcome life’s circumstances and make real progress. When you are a believer who complains a lot, you sabotage your chances of overcoming challenges and hinder new opportunities from coming your way.
Consider the Israelites, who complained so much that they suffered unnecessarily and failed to reach the Promised Land on God’s schedule. Even in the midst of the miracles God performed right before their eyes, they still found fault and complained. They lashed out at Moses, claiming he only brought them out of Egypt to kill them in the wilderness. There was nothing they wouldn’t say against God and Moses because they were never satisfied.
On one occasion, when the spies returned from their journey, the Israelites complained bitterly over the bad report the ten men brought back. God heard their grumbling and responded. He said, “How long shall I bear with this evil congregation who complain against Me? I have heard the complaints which the children of Israel make against Me.” —Numbers 14:27 (NKJV)
This means that God listens to His children, and the last thing He wants to hear from us is complaining. Therefore, we must make a conscious decision to avoid it entirely. Instead of complaining, pray about your situation and commit it to the Lord. I know it might not be easy in every case, but you have to train yourself to remove complaints from your mouth.

Complaining only spoils things and makes matters worse!
Prayer
Thank You, Heavenly Father, for this revelation. I decree that complaints will no longer be found on my lips. I choose to see the brighter side of things and take my eyes off the negative, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
