“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” —Romans 10:17 (NKJV)
As you journey in your Christian walk, your faith requires your utmost attention. Without faith, you cannot take full advantage of God’s grace or overcome the spiritual darkness working against your life. Therefore, making your faith walk a priority is essential. Be intentional about nurturing your faith because a well-nourished faith can accomplish anything. Scripture tells us, “…the conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith.” —1 John 5:4 (MSG). If you want to place the world and its challenges under your feet rather than carrying them on your shoulders, your faith must remain alive and active.
So, how do you nurture your faith? First, you must remain conscious of the vital role faith plays in your daily life. Many people struggle because they confront life’s challenges in their own strength, forgetting to rely on faith. Staying mindful of faith’s power ensures that victory remains yours. Second, you must actively grow your faith, as weak faith yields weak results. The primary way to build and strengthen your faith is through God’s Word, as Scripture reminds us: “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” —Romans 10:17 (NKJV).
To build your faith, you must immerse yourself in the Word of God. Study it continuously to receive fresh revelation, and listen to preaching that inspires your spirit. By consistently hearing God’s Word, you create an environment where your motivation and enthusiasm are fueled by truth. When this happens, you will continually operate in the realm of faith. Give your faith walk the attention it deserves today, remembering that faith unlocks everything grace provides. Praise God!
