What Is God Saying to You Now? (1)

I will climb my watchtower and wait to see what the Lord will tell me to say and what answer he will give to my complaint. (Habakkuk 2:1 GNT)

If I were to ask you, “What is God saying to you right now?” or “What has God said to you concerning your life recently?” What would your answer be? For many, the answer might be that God doesn’t speak to them, while others might say nothing at all. But the truth remains: God is speaking all the time; people are often just not hearing what He is saying. The question is, why are they not hearing? Why does it seem as though God isn’t saying anything to them? It’s simple: they are not giving God the kind of focused attention required to hear Him. They might hear from many other sources, including the enemy, but they never seem to hear God. Interestingly, many believers today may hear the voice of the devil more often than they hear God, simply because of where their attention lies.

Beloved, I encourage you to cultivate the kind of relationship with God that allows you to hear Him regularly. You should be able to know what God is saying to you at any given time regarding your health, job, family, or business. Why is this important? Because your actions should ideally be based on what God is saying. If you are not hearing from God regularly, there is a high likelihood that you will end up walking by sight and not by faith.

Therefore, strive diligently to develop an intimate relationship with God. Don’t get comfortable with not hearing God or receiving direction from Him. It is not a good spiritual state to be in. I know some believers may not prioritize this, but that is not how God intends it. God desires to communicate with you and lead you every step of the way. So, train yourself to hear God; expect Him to speak. Be like Habakkuk, who declared with understanding, I will climb my watchtower and wait to see what the Lord will tell me to say and what answer he will give to my complaint. (Habakkuk 2:1 GNT). He knew God speaks, and he positioned himself accordingly.

Today’s Rhema

Expect to hear God speak to you because He always speaks!

Confession for the day

Father, I am grateful for bringing me this consciousness. I declare, therefore, that the grace to hear You is at work in me, and I receive the wisdom to understand Your communications and to take necessary actions, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
