“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” – Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV)

One of the vital lessons I’ve learned as a believer in Christ Jesus is to stay steadfast in what I believe, without shifting between opinions. When I choose to trust the Lord in all things, I maintain that trust in all things. As Christians, we must remain consistent in our confessions about our faith. What we say concerning God, His power, and His abilities must align with our beliefs, every day. We cannot speak words of faith today, only to let words of fear slip out tomorrow.

The Bible encourages us to “hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering” (Hebrews 10:23). It goes on to remind us that “He who has promised is faithful”. This truth is powerful. If we can hold on to the assurance that God is faithful, we’ll realize that many of our worries are unnecessary. God is watching our staying power—our ability to remain unmoved by situations or circumstances.

Life may throw challenges at you and try to hinder your progress, but holding firmly to your confessions of hope will bring you victory in the long run. Changing your confession is essentially changing your mind about what you want. So, if you have a desire, declare it in faith and pray about it. Once you’ve done this, don’t sabotage it by altering your confession. Keep speaking it, even when it seems impossible. Don’t let opposition make you doubt; hold firmly to your confession, and stay unwavering. This commitment to your confession will bring about the miracle you seek. Amen!

Today’s Rhema

If you change your confession, you risk aborting your miracle, so stick to your confession of faith!

Confession for the Day

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power You have given us to speak things into existence and witness our words come to pass. I’m grateful that my words are the building blocks of my life. I declare that I do not waver in my confessions, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
