“…a fool vents all His feelings but a wise man holds them back…” Proverbs 29:11 (NKJV)

As a child of God, one thing you must purposely give attention to in your life in order to manage it is your anger because the anger that is not managed, can put you in a place of regrets and disgrace. I discovered that today, too many of God’s people are not being careful about their anger. They are always ready to tell it the way it is in their heart and in most cases, they are ready to get violent in trying to make their points clear. While for other people, they get violent just to show that they are not people you can mess with. To them, they feel this is the right approach and it makes people have fear for them. But the truth is, this is a very awkward way of reacting to issues. Don’t come to that point in your life where you are willing to go physical with someone just to make your point clear. It will do you no good.

You have to understand that, if you are in Christ, there is a certain way in which God wants you to live your life. As a matter of fact, Jesus Christ did not only come to take away your sins but to make you a better person in life. He came to deliver you from the dominion of darkness and also to remove every darkness from you. Therefore, you must make a conscious decision to constantly work on yourself. Refuse to be excessively angry. Learn to manage your anger at all times and the best way to do that is to let love rule. The Bible says, love “..bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails…” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NKJV). Did you see that? Let love gain expression through you and trust me you will always keep your anger in check. Praise God!

Rule over your anger

Confession for the Day

Thank you heavenly father for revealing to me the plans that you have for my life. I thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit to help me cut down on excesses that could be there in my life. I declare that henceforth, I will continually put a check on my anger. I refuse to allow my anger be in control because I am in charge. I go out today to demonstrate the characters of the Spirit and give no place for the devil to have a foothold in the name of Jesus. Amen!
