“For I have learned, in whatever state I am, to be content.” —Philippians 4:11 (NKJV)
Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Philippian church, made a remarkable statement that is life-transforming, He said “I have learned in whatever state I am to be content” . In other words, no matter the circumstances, I have learned to maintain my calm and be satisfied. No wonder he was such a success in ministry. Therefore, to be successful, I’m of the opinion that we emulate this. If you truly want to be successful in any area of life, you must learn to be content at every stage. Contentment is a secret that will help you stay on course until what God has planned for you begins to manifest.
Beloved, it is important for you to know that contentment is the key to achieving results without being greedy, walking in jealousy, or making hasty decisions. When you are content with what you have and where you are, God will eventually promote you to the next level. Now, to be content does not mean you lack aspiration or should stop dreaming, it only means that in your aspirations you are take things one step at a time as you wait for God’s perfect timing. I want you to take note of the phrase “perfect timing”.
Sometimes, God’s people get impatient and begin to make decisions that complicate things. However, to avoid making such mistakes, it is good to cultivate an attitude of contentment. It will help you in ways that you never imagined, and most importantly, it will help you step into God’s perfect will for your life. Sometimes, we may want certain things, but because it is not God’s timing, we rush and miss out on what God has planned for us. Therefore, as you continue in your walk with God, learn to be content. It will not be easy sometimes, but if you are disciplined, you will see God’s will manifest in your life.
Sometimes, things may not go as planned, but do not be discouraged. Instead, maintain your calm and be composed enough to work towards making things happen without causing any harm to yourself or others, and trust me, things will eventually fall into place for you. So, be content no matter what happens. Remember, the Bible says, “…godliness with contentment is great gain..” 1 Timothy 6:6 (NKJV) Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this inspiring counsel. I choose this day to be content in all that I do, and as I walk in contentment, I walk in the blessings that come with it, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
