“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. “Teacher,” the blind man answered, “I want to see again.”Mark 10:51 (GNT)

Recently, I asked my daughter to get me something from the cupboard. She went and came back saying she didn’t see it. I asked her to go again, and she returned with the same response. Then I realized—she didn’t actually know what I had asked her to bring. I went to the cupboard myself and found the item right there. It was there all along, but because she wasn’t clear on what I had asked for, she couldn’t find it. Beloved, the same thing happens when you don’t know what you want in life.

One of the most concerning things today is that many people simply don’t know what they want in life. They have numerous desires but no clarity. This lack of focus often keeps them from achieving anything meaningful. When you don’t know what you want, your journey through life becomes filled with uncertainties. Many times, you hear people say, “I don’t know when God is going to come through for me”—but often, the issue isn’t about God’s timing or intervention; it’s about personal clarity. What can God do for you if you don’t even know what you’re asking for?

That’s why God sometimes begins to give us revelations—so we can discern the path we should follow. Unfortunately, many are not paying attention, so they miss God’s direction and still blame Him for not showing up.

Beloved, you must come to that place where you decide what you truly want in life. That’s the starting point for how God will begin to relate with you. And if what you want isn’t aligned with God’s will, He will lovingly guide you back on course, so that your desires are aligned with His plans and purposes.

So as you continue your walk with God, make it a priority to be clear about what you want. When the blind man Bartimaeus asked for help, Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” (Mark 10:51 GNT). This shows us that God wants us to know what we want.

Therefore, be encouraged today to gain clarity about what you want—in your finances, your marriage, your family, and every other area of your life. When there is clarity, solutions follow. And when your direction is clear, your destination becomes achievable. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for revealing this truth to me. I receive grace and wisdom to gain clarity about what I truly want. As I walk in this clarity, I am receiving the solutions I need, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
