“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” —Romans 4:20-21 (NKJV)

Sometimes, situations arise with the sole aim of putting fear in you and challenging what you believe. You must not give in to the pressure these challenges bring. No matter how bad a situation might seem, always remember that your victory is more real than the reality on the ground.

The Bible gives us an account of Abraham and how God promised to make him the father of many nations. This promise came to him after many years of living with the painful reality of having no child. Yet, when God spoke, Abraham did not waver at His promises. In fact, the Scriptures highlight his remarkable trust:

“And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.” —Romans 4:19-21 (NKJV)

Abraham stood his ground even when becoming a father looked entirely impossible. Today, he is known as the father of faith because he didn’t just have faith; he expressed it through his actions. He refused to waver or change his confession, choosing instead to remain strong and give glory to God.

In the same way, God wants us to follow Abraham’s example. No matter what you are going through right now, you have a responsibility to express your faith. Let the devil know that your confidence is firmly rooted in God. Refuse to panic or alter your positive confession. If you stand your ground in faith, you will prevail. Praise God!

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your love and grace. I thank You for imparting into my life the measure of faith required to live victoriously. I declare today that I not only acknowledge my faith, but I also choose to express it in all things and at all times. I will prevail in the name of Jesus. Amen!
