“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” —Job 22:28 (KJV)
Having established the importance of making decrees instead of complaining in the first part of this article, you might wonder if you need to hear from God before making a decree. Some people believe that unless they receive a direct word from God, they should not open their mouths to speak. However, this is a misconception. You do not always have to wait for a specific word from God to make a decree, although that can certainly happen. You simply need to go ahead and speak what is laid on your heart, ensuring it aligns with God’s Word.
Making decrees is not limited to those moments when you hear a specific divine instruction. You can speak up anytime you feel the need because the Spirit of the Lord lives inside you. He has qualified you to speak anointed words with authority. Therefore, the next time you encounter challenges in your finances, your marriage, or your job, do not hesitate to make decrees.
In fact, do not wait for adversity to strike. Begin declaring what you want to see in various areas of your life right now, so you are already prepared when the time comes. Remember, one word from your mouth can end the battles of your life. God bless you!

Thank You, Heavenly Father, for revealing this truth to me. I thank You for helping me understand the power of making decrees. Therefore, I decree today that my life is for the glory of God, and all things are working together for my good. I have a godly heritage, the lines have fallen to me in pleasant places, and I am making qualitative progress now and all the days of my life, in the name of Jesus. Amen!
