“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.” —Mark 16:17 (NKJV)

What if I told you that in all the things you are going through, demons are not really the problem? Would you believe me? Well, let me say it again: as much as demons may be involved in the issues you are facing, they are not the major problem. I know it is hard to believe, but it is true.

Sometimes, the experiences we have in dreams or in life generally make it look like our major problem is demons, but that is not the case. Their activities and manifestations in our lives are often the result of the main problem. So, the question is, what exactly is the problem?

The problem is knowledge deficiency, or simply put, ignorance. Demons prey on our lack of knowledge and use it against us. No wonder God said in Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…”. They weren’t being destroyed because of demons, but because of the lack of knowledge.

Therefore, your goal should be to gain knowledge because once you do, the advantage that demons have against you will be withdrawn. Remember, the Bible says, “A wise man is strong, Yes, a man of knowledge increases strength.” —Proverbs 24:5 (NKJV).

So, get to work and start acquiring knowledge. Now, when we speak about knowledge, it is not knowledge of science or biology. Rather, we are talking about the knowledge of God, His commands, His provisions, and the rules of engagement of the Kingdom and the realm of the Spirit. If you can equip yourself with this kind of knowledge, no demon will be able to take advantage of you again. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for the words I have heard today. The hunger for Your word is growing in me and causing me to pursue knowledge like never before in Jesus’ name. Amen!
