Black letters on the book

“I was ready to answer my people’s prayers, but they did not pray. I was ready for them to find me, but they did not even try. The nation did not pray to me, even though I was always ready to answer, ‘Here I am; I will help you…’”Isaiah 65:1 (GNT)

Beloved, if you truly want to overcome the situations you face, you must be willing to pray until you receive the answers you seek. Today, many want deliverance from challenges but are not willing to pray or fight to break free. Instead, they complain and blame God for their predicament. Some even stop attending church activities because they feel disappointed—a misunderstanding of His heart.

God has established principles that provoke divine intervention, and one of the foremost is prayer. Interventions are not random; they are provoked by faith-filled petitions—either by someone praying for you or by you seeking God in prayer.

In our opening text, God declares that He was ready to answer His people’s prayers, but they did not pray. He was eager for them to seek Him, yet they did not. This teaches us that prayer is not optional; it is expected. The one who prays demonstrates faith in God and actively seeks His intervention.

So today, take your needs to God and tarry in prayer until you see a turnaround. Remember: if you are willing to pray, God is willing to answer. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day

Father, I thank You for reminding me of the need to pray. I receive the spirit of prayer, and as I pray, I am breaking through and moving forward, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
