…Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth…” 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

As a believer, if you truly want to enjoy your walk with God and see the benefits of Christianity manifest in your life, you must study God’s word to discover who you are in Christ and what you have in Christ Jesus. You must understand that being in Christ is not an empty walk. There are so many blessings in Christ Jesus that can literally change your life for good. But you see, until you begin to study God’s word, you cannot really discover these things.

Sadly, this is where many believers are in their lives today. Too many of God’s people don’t study or give time to understand that which has been freely given to them in Christ Jesus and yet they want to prosper and walk in the blessings that are in Christ Jesus. But it doesn’t work that way because until you discover what is yours in Christ, you cannot walk in the reality of God’s Word in your life.

So, I encourage you today to cultivate the habit of studying God’s word. All you require to become whom God has ordained you to become is right there in the word of God. Be diligent enough to create time to study and hear the word. And don’t just study it, meditate on it and yield yourself to the Holy Spirit so that He can teach you and give you revelations from the word. When you incorporate this to your daily routine, you will be amazed at how you will begin to manifest the benefits of Christianity. No wonder, Paul the Apostle said, “…I commend you to the care of God and to the message of his grace, which is able to build you up and give you the blessings God has for all his people…” Acts 20:32 (GNT). Did you see that? There are lots of blessings to possess in Christ Jesus, only give yourself to the word so that you discover what is yours and walk in it. Praise God!

Study to discover who you are in Christ and walk in the blessings available for you!

The word of God is food for my Spirit; therefore I receive grace to give attention to it and to study it so that I can discover who I am and what I have. And as I make these discoveries, I am walking in the blessings available to me in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
