Face Your Challenges in Faith

For we live by faith, not by sight. —2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

As you walk with God, you must understand that challenges are part of life, and being a Christian does not mean you will never encounter difficult situations. There will be times when things do not go as planned, when the answers you seek seem delayed, and when the circumstances around you appear contrary to what you believe. However, what matters is how you respond when these challenges arise. God does not want you to face difficulties as someone who has no hope; He wants you to learn to depend on Him and approach every situation with faith.

Unfortunately, many believers allow the size of their challenges to determine the strength of their confidence in God. They become discouraged by what they see and forget that God remains faithful even when circumstances are difficult.

Someone might ask, “But how do you face a challenge when everything seems to be going wrong?” You do so by keeping your confidence in God and refusing to allow your circumstances to determine what you believe about His faithfulness. Faith does not mean pretending that a problem does not exist. Rather, it means acknowledging the problem while trusting God for wisdom, strength, and direction to overcome it.

When you face challenges based only on what you can see, you may become overwhelmed, but when you look to God, you find the courage to keep moving forward. Paul the Apostle understood this truth and said:

I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me. —Philippians 4:13 (GNT)

Did you see that? This reminds you that you do not have to depend solely on your own strength when life becomes difficult. God can strengthen you to endure, make wise decisions, and remain steadfast through the process.

Therefore, make a conscious decision to face your challenges in faith. Instead of spending all your time worrying about what might happen, pray, study God’s Word, seek godly counsel when necessary, and take the practical steps required to address the situation before you. Do not give up simply because the journey has become difficult. Remember, the Bible says:

For we walk by faith, not by sight. —2 Corinthians 5:7 (NKJV)

So, learn to trust God even when you cannot see the full picture. Your circumstances may be challenging, but you can choose to respond with faith, patience, and obedience as you depend on Him.
