saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” —Luke 22:42 (NKJV)

Beloved, no matter what you face in life, I want you to know that you will surely prevail and that cup will pass over you. The question is, do you believe this? The challenge today is that often, God’s people don’t believe this, but if you can only believe, you will surely prevail. I know that sometimes the situation might look so tough that it seems you will never come out of it, but believe me, the cup will certainly pass. It is only a matter of time.

You must always understand that God has you covered. Just when the pressure in any situation increases, that is when God’s miracle is about to manifest. So, you must choose to hold on and fight it out. Refuse to quit or chicken out; maintain your ground and go to God in prayer.

When Jesus was at this point in His life, He took the time to pray. The Bible specifically says that He prayed earnestly, which helped Him go through that stage and win. It declares that “Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him” (Luke 22:43, NKJV). This means you too can receive strength in your time of trial if you will only pray and be patient for God to act.

A woman in labor does not pray for the labor to stop; she prays for the child to come out, because when the child is out, the labor ends. In the same way, I admonish you to stay strong and aim for your “delivery,” because that is what will bring an end to your trial. No matter how long the situation has been, if you continue in prayer and believe God, the cup will certainly pass over. God bless you!

Today’s Rhema

Confession for the Day

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank you for these great words of encouragement and for reminding me that every situation has an end. On this basis, I receive strength to continue in prayer. I declare that I conquer every situation and win in all things, because as the scripture says, “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4, NKJV). Hallelujah!
