“…Isaiah left the king, but before he had passed through the central courtyard of the palace the Lord told him to go back to Hezekiah, ruler of the Lord’s people, and say to him, “I, the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and in three days you will go to the Temple…” 2 Kings 20:4-5 (GNT)
The Bible tells us the story of King Hezekiah and how a verdict was given that he was going to die. He didn’t accept that verdict as the final one, instead, he decided to turn to the Lord in prayer and that verdict was changed. The Lord sent back a message saying “ “I, the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you, and in three days you will go to the Temple…” 2 Kings 20:5 (GNT). Did you see that?
From this we discover that it doesn’t matter what verdict has been given regarding your life, business, or health, it can change. All you need to do is to turn to God in prayers and if you are diligent and persistent enough, you will change the verdict for good. The challenge is that too many of God’s people do not believe that verdicts can be changed. They do not believe that through prayers, they can change things. In fact when you speak of prayers, they just toss it aside because they have lost faith in the power of prayer. Probably, they have prayed before and nothing happened, so they decided it doesn’t work.
However, the truth remains that prayer still works and through prayers, you can change whatever verdict that has been given concerning your life. So, I encourage you today to turn to the Lord today in prayers and change whatever verdict that has been given concerning your life and destiny. Refuse to allow that oppression or unemployment to continue. Refuse to allow that health issue to continue. Instead, make a conscious decision to change that verdict through prayers. Hallelujah!
