“…don’t give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble…” Psalm 37:5-7,8 (GNT)

Over and over, I hear people say, I am waiting on God for thus and thus to manifest and after saying this, they still end up getting worried and disturbed over the same things they said they are waiting on God for. Beloved, if you are truly waiting on God, you do not get disturbed or troubled because of your expectations. The reason is that the man who is truly waiting on God commits the situation into the hands of God and leaves it there. The proof that you have truly left your expectations in the hands of God is that you do not worry about the same thing you have committed to God.

For example, when you go to God in prayer to help you get a job, your next action is to wait peacefully and thank God for the job you are about to receive. But when you begin to trouble yourself about the same thing you have committed to God, it means you have not committed it to God. Therefore, I encourage you today, to learn how to truly commit your expectations to God and leave it there. Stop stressing or bothering yourself about it and wait patiently for God to act. The Bible says “…give yourself to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will help you; he will make your righteousness shine like the noonday sun. Be patient and wait for the Lord to act….don’t give in to worry or anger; it only leads to trouble…” Psalm 37:5-7,8 (GNT). The question is, are you willing to trust God and wait for Him to act? Sometimes, we get very weary because we are tired of waiting but the truth remains that when you get exhausted, you are not truly waiting on God. The man who waits on God does not bother about anything but waits. When Papa Abraham was waiting for the promises of God to manifest in his life, he didn’t give in to worry. Rather, the Bible recorded saying “…not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform…therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness…”Romans 4:19-22 (NKJV)

Today’s Rhema

If you are truly waiting on God, refuse to give in to worry!

Confession for the Day

I choose this day to wait on God and never to give in to worry. I declare that as I wait patiently, I receive the answers to my prayers, now and always in Jesus name. Amen!
