“…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you…” Matthew 6:33

In the world we have been taught to believe that in order to achieve anything, we must pursue hard for it, labor for it, spend time and do everything possible to achieve it. While this sounds nice, it is not entirely true. Don’t get me wrong, hard work is good; giving time to master your career is good. But it can make a man toil so much but achieve very little. To experience abundance and achieve a lot without toiling so hard you must understand the principles of the Kingdom of God and change your approach. In the Kingdom of God, to experience success without toiling so much, you have to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This is what brings in the results. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus was teaching and He said, “…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you…” meaning that, when we pursue God and His righteousness, everything we require begins to gravitate towards us.

Jesus said, “…all these things shall be added to you”. In other words, God’s addition to our lives comes from your love for God and interest in His Kingdom matters. As simple as this might sound, it is very difficult for many of God’s people, hence they toil and toil with no tangible results. However, if you want to see that change, you must change your approach.

Remember, there is nothing wrong with working hard and giving time to work. But you see, hard work will pay you better when you create a balance. And the way to create a balance is to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and every other thing shall be added to you. It may sound foolish, but the truth remains that when you make God’s kingdom and His righteousness the priority in your life, everything you desire begins to fall in place and everything you do begins to produce better results.

King David was a man who was very hard working but at the same time, His love for God and the house of the Lord was such that God Himself acknowledged that David was a man after His heart. So, make a conscious decision to truly love God from your heart and watch everything in place for you. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

When you genuinely pursue after God, everything you are looking for starts looking for you!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this timely truth. I declare that the grace to seek first the kingdom and its righteousness is at work in my life and as I follow this path, everything I require to live a glorious life is supernaturally granted me in Jesus name. Amen!
