“…he who willfully separates and estranges himself [from God and man] seeks his own desire and pretext to break out against all wise and sound judgment…” —Proverbs 18:1 (AMPC)

A growing trend among believers today is to isolate themselves. When you invite them to church, they decline and prefer to stay home. They draw back from participating in any church activities or any activities that will build their spiritual lives and improve their relationships with people. But the question is, is this how God wants us to live? Certainly not.

The idea of isolating oneself is not from God, and you must know this. Whenever you begin to dissociate yourself from other believers or people around you, you are already under attack, and trust me, the reason for the attack is because the devil wants to take you out. He knows that he can’t take you out when you are in a group, so what he does is isolate you to destroy you. However, you can disappoint the devil by choosing to associate with other Spirit-filled believers like yourself. The Bible says, “let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities, Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24–25 (AMPC) Did you see that? God wants you to mix with other believers, but that doesn’t mean you should keep bad company. Choose the right crowd, and it will help you in times of need. Remember, the Bible says, “…he who willfully separates and estranges himself [from God and man] seeks his own desire and pretext to break out against all wise and sound judgment…” Proverbs 18:1 (AMPC) So, be guided as you journey in your Christian walk.

Today’s Rhema

Refuse to isolate yourself; instead, choose the right crowd because it will save you in the time of need!

Confession for the Day

By the power of the Holy Spirit, I resist every desire to isolate myself or be a loner. I choose to associate myself with other Spirit-filled believers, and as I do this, the blessings of associating myself with other believers is working in my life in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
