“…But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 (NKJV)

Our world today is filled with too many distractions and these distractions are there to fill our minds and choke faith out of our lives. They are there to make us worldly instead of godly. So, to avoid this, you must make a conscious decision to occupy your mind with the word of God. The word of God is the ingredient God has given to us, to neutralize all the worldliness in this world. You must understand this truth and make a conscious decision to give yourself to the word of God on a daily basis.

Now, you might say but is this necessary? Oh, yes! It is not just necessary; it is a must if you truly want to fulfil your destiny in Christ Jesus. The challenge many believers face today is that they want to see all the promises of God manifest in their lives, they want to fulfil their destiny in Christ Jesus, but they are not conscious of what they are supposed to do, to enjoy what God has said to them. Beloved, if you truly want to see God’s promises manifest in your life, you must give your attention to God and saturate your mind with it.  Why? Because, the word of God has all it takes to get rid of all of the distractions and corruption in the world that are targeted at making you stumble and go in the ways of the world. The Bible says “…the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account….” Hebrews 4:12‭-‬13 (NKJV). So, get serious with the word of God and occupy your mind with. Stop neglecting it or ignoring, fight the temptation to neglect the word and start giving it the attention that it requires. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you truly want to see God’s promises manifest in your life, you must give your attention to God and saturate your mind with it!

Confession for the Day

Thank you, Heavenly Father, I am grateful for encouraging me with your word today. I decree therefore, that the temptation to neglect your word is cancelled and the passion to give attention to your word is activated in full measure in the name of Jesus. Amen!
