“…he spoke a parable to them that men always ought to pray and not lose heart…” Luke 18:1 (NKJV)
As a believer, the devil will do everything to make sure that he keeps you away from praying. He will bring distractions into your life, he will bring excuses and make you see reasons why you should not pray and if you are not wise, you will give in to his games. But as a wise believer, it is your responsibility, to look beyond his games and resist him with all vehemence because a Christian who does not pray will be at the mercy of men and the devil. He will be manipulated regularly by the devil and fall into temptations often. Over the years, I have watched men of God’s children fall into all kinds of temptations because they didn’t make prayer a priority. When you talk so much about prayers today, some believers think you are just a fanatic but that is not the case. Prayer is to a believer what water is to a fish. The moment you stop praying, you start dying and losing grip over life and the circumstances that come with it.
So to avoid this, you must make a conscious decision to maintain a solid prayer life. Get back into the mood of prayers and start fulfilling your part in the body of Christ. Position yourself rightly through the power of prayer and live every day of your life in victory. In our opening text, Jesus Christ said men always ought to pray and not lose heart. He laid emphasis on prayers and also showed us an example through His prayer life (See Ref. Luke 3:21, Matthew 14:23, Mark 6:4). He knew the importance and the power of prayer and this made Him operate differently. If you truly want your life to be supernaturally influenced, you must create and make time for prayers. It has to become a part of you. So do the needful today and make prayers a priority in your life. And when you pray put your heart in the prayers so that it can impact you. Praise God!
