“For He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.'” —Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV)
Recently, God taught me something about faith that I would like to share. I decided to take a walk with my kids, and as we were on the way, my daughter became so afraid because of the speeding cars. I told her not to be afraid because I was holding her hand, but it did not deter her. Even with me holding her hand, she was still very scared.
Then I asked her, “Why are you still scared even though I’m here holding your hand?” She said she couldn’t help it because of the way the cars were speeding past. The presence of those cars driving at high speed overshadowed my presence in her life at that moment.
So, I told her to trust the fact that I was there with her, holding her hand, and would not allow any harm to come near her. While that word was coming out of my mouth, the Holy Spirit said, “This is the same with many believers today.”
Even though the Lord is with them all the way, they find it difficult to trust Him to bring them out of that situation or make a way for them. This is because the presence of their situation feels more real to them than the presence of Jesus in their lives.
This shouldn’t be the case with you. No matter the severity of your situation, you must never allow the presence of challenges to overshadow the presence of Christ in your life. You must understand that as long as you are in Him and He is in you, your victory is guaranteed.
Things may be tough, but you will eventually win. All you need to do is keep your faith in the Savior and be conscious of His presence. Use His word and principles to subdue and overcome whatever you are going through. Do not be overcome with fear, because He is with you and will never forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Hallelujah!
Today’s Rhema
No matter the severity of the situation, never allow its presence to overshadow the presence of Jesus in your life!
Confession for Today
Thank You, Father, for reassuring me of Your presence in my life. I choose this day to live in the consciousness of this truth, and I refuse to allow any situation to intimidate me or put fear in my heart in Jesus’ name. Amen!
