“…Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed: “Remember, Lord, that I have served you faithfully and loyally and that I have always tried to do what you wanted me to.” And he began to cry bitterly…” 2 Kings 20:2‭-‬3 (GNT)

When King Hezekiah was told that he was going to die, one would expect he would accept it as the final verdict because the message he received came from God. But instead, he went to God in prayers. All the while he was sick, he had this hope that he would get well, and when the news came that he wasn’t going to recover, he had to go to God in prayers. He believed that that was not the end, so he prayed, and he prevailed.

Beloved, this is a very important lesson you must learn as a believer if you are going to prevail in life. You must learn to reject the status quo. Sometimes the challenges of life come to make us feel like this is it, we are done. They come to make us believe that our situation is beyond change, but the truth is that if you reject that reality like King Hezekiah, a new reality will be given to you.

Therefore, make a conscious decision today to reject the status quo. Whatever you are going through is not the final verdict, it will only be so if you accept it. Choose to fight back with knowledge, persistence, and prayers. If you persist in rejecting the status quo, a new reality will emerge that will eventually make you an overcomer. No wonder our Lord Jesus Christ said, “…And so I tell all of you: what you prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and what you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven…”Matthew 18:18 (GNT). So, reject that unfavorable status quo, and heaven will back you up. Praise God!

TODAY’S RHEMA

If you reject that unfavorable status quo, heaven will back you up!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father, I am grateful for your Word which has come to strengthen my faith. I choose this day to reject unfavorable conditions in my life, I choose to fight those conditions with everything I have and as I do, favorable conditions are springing forth in the name of Jesus. Amen!
