“…And he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me…” 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)
Do you know that our strength is from the Holy Ghost who is the power of God on earth? And He wants us at all times to depend on Him as the source of our strength. This is the reason Jesus said to Paul that His grace was sufficient for him when he felt like he had no power to go on any more. And Paul in his response said he would rather have no strength of his own so that he would have the liberty to depend on the strength of the Holy Spirit. Now, in case you do not know, we have perfect strength in the Holy Spirit, which he always offers to those who ask Him. The Holy Spirit is not like the devil, he will never force Himself on you if you do not approach him. So what does God want from you? Does he want you to be weak so that you can depend on Him? I won’t say it like that, but I would say, those times when you find out that your strength isn’t sufficient for the road you have found yourself, remember that you have perfect strength which has been made available to you in the Holy Spirit.
Take advantage of His strength. Stop struggling with your bills, stop struggling to eat three square meals, stop struggling to pay your children’s school fees, remember, you have a helper, in the person of the Holy Spirit. He is the ever-present help in times of need. You can’t go to Him today and He tells you he is not available. He is always available, He is always ready, ready to be your comfort, ready to take away your burdens and your pain. I remember my last encounter with the Holy Spirit, how He nursed me from a series of pain and gave me hope for tomorrow. Am reaching out to you today, because I have experienced first-hand the strength of the Spirit of the living God. And I can boldly say to you, when you cannot stand, He will be your legs, when you cannot sit He will help you seat. He will do for you what you cannot do for yourself. What are you doing now? Embrace His help, embrace His strength and all He has belongs to you. Amen!

Confession for the Day
Dear Holy Father. I thank you because in you I find grace to help in times of need. In you, I find my strength and in your strength, I put my trust. There is no one else I would rather trust with my life if not you. Amen!
