“…If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men…” Romans 12:18 (NKJV)

Years ago, when the Israelites found themselves in another land, God said to them “…seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace…” Jeremiah 29:7 (NKJV). Did you see that? God was showing them that their peace in the foreign land was connected to the peace of that nation.

From this, we discover that beyond living a peaceful life with others as custodians of peace, we must also make a conscious decision to pray for peace in any place we have found ourselves, why? Because when there is peace in that place, you will find peace. So, make a conscious decision to pray for peace in your workplace, in your school and in the building where you stay. Also you should pray for the city, and the nation you have found yourself. When you do this, you are fulfilling God’s word and carrying out your responsibility as a custodian of peace. So, wherever you find yourself, learn to pray for the peace of that place because its peace, you will find peace. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

When you pray for the peace of your environment, you are fulfilling God’s word and carrying out your responsibility as a custodian of peace!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and ever-living Father, I am so grateful for this truth you have communicated to me. I decree today that the grace and wisdom to fulfill my responsibility as a custodian of peace is at work in me in the name of Jesus. Amen!
