“…..for you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God….” Colossians 3:3 (GNT)

As you celebrate Christmas, you must understand that Christmas is a celebration of life in Christ Jesus. Sometimes, people do not understand the real reason for celebrating Christmas and this explains the reason why you hear statements like, “ I don’t celebrate Christmas” and “Christmas is every day for me” but the question is, is that true? Is Christmas every day for them? The answer is No! And the truth remains that these same people never actually take any time to celebrate Jesus and what He has done for us.

Beloved, you must understand that the Christmas celebration is a celebration of the gift of eternal life that we have received in Christ Jesus. The Bible says, “….God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life…..”John 3:16(NKJV) Did you see that? This life which we have received in Christ Jesus is worthy of celebration. And this is what a Christmas celebration should be about. So, as you celebrate Christmas this season, celebrate the life our Lord Jesus Christ has brought to us. This life is not about to be given, because it has already been given to us the moment we received Jesus as the Lord of our lives. So, just in case someone asks you, the reason for your celebration, you should let them know that it is because of the life you have received in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

The life we have received in Christ Jesus is worthy of celebration!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for sending your Son Jesus to take my life and give me His life. I rejoice today and I choose to celebrate the life I have received in Christ Jesus now and all the days of my life. Amen!
