“At all times carry faith as a shield; for with it you will be able to put out all the burning arrows shot by the evil one” Ephesians 6:16 (GNT)
As you journey through life as a Christian, one of the things you must do for yourself is to carry faith as a shield at all times. In other words, no matter what you do or face, you must make sure that you are putting on your shield of faith at all times. You might say but is this necessary? Well, it is very necessary and I will give you three key reasons why you must do this.
First of all, you must understand that it takes faith to actually please God. It takes faith connect with God and receive from Him.The Bible says “No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him…” Hebrews 11:6 (GNT). Meaning, your relationship with God is completely a faith walk and if you are going to receive anything from God, It has to be strictly by faith.
Secondly, another reason why you should carry faith as a shield is because, this world is full of many lies from the devil. The devil will stop at nothing to let you know that what God has given to you in Christ Jesus is a lie, and if you are not going about with your shield of faith, you could fall for the lies of the devil. Therefore, it is important that to carry at all times this shield that is called faith. It will help you debunk the lies and cause you to embrace the truth and live in the light of it
Finally, another key reason you should carry faith as a shield is because that is what is needed to put out all the burning arrow of the wicked that has been fired at you. Remember, as a Christian, your number one enemy is satan, and he will stop at nothing to make sure he attacks you by sending you all manner of arrows that is aimed at destroying you but through the shield of faith, you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the devil and still remains on fire for God. So, I admonish you today, to take this subject of faith seriously. Stick the promises of God and carry your faith as a shield at all times praise God!
