“Those who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s children.” —Romans 8:14 (GNT)

As a child of God, one of the things you must do consistently is to walk by the leading of the Spirit and not by circumstances, feelings, or emotions. The reason is that when you are led by the Spirit of God, you will be in the will and purpose of God for your life.

But when you are led by the flesh or situations, you will move out of alignment and start making wrong decisions that will eventually do you more harm than good. Therefore, there is a need to move according to the direction of God’s Spirit. Let the things the Lord is showing you and leading you toward be your reality because that is what truly matters. Every other thing you are seeing or experiencing in your life is only a mirage. They are not real and should not be followed.

Therefore, I encourage you today to become conscious of what God is showing you concerning your life and follow that path. Do not be like those who argue or negotiate with Him. They know the path He wants them to follow, but they do not submit to it. Instead, they want to do their own thing and cut corners.

But the truth remains that you cannot be wiser than God, who created you. If He has shown you a path to follow, submit to it and follow, knowing well that your blessings are found in that path. So, subscribe to the leadership of the Holy Spirit.

Be like the Psalmist who said:

“Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me into a level country and into the land of uprightness.” —Psalm 143:10 (AMPC)

So, recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit and follow it. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Thank You, Father, for opening my eyes to this wonderful truth today. I receive wisdom to recognize Your leading in my life, and the grace to follow it abides with me in Jesus’ name. Amen!
