“Greetings from Epaphras, another member of your group and a servant of Christ Jesus. He always prays fervently for you, asking God to make you stand firm, as mature and fully convinced Christians, in complete obedience to God’s will.” (Colossians 4:12 GNT)

Having established the importance of being fully convinced of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, someone might ask, “What do I do to strengthen my conviction?” It is simple: You have to invest time in studying the word of God. The word of God is the catalyst needed to nurture and strengthen your conviction. Without spending time with the word, the realities of the Gospel will not dawn on you.

Therefore, make a conscious decision to study the word or hear it preached. The Bible says, “So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.” (Romans 10:17 GNT). Did you see that? So create time to study the word. It’s something you have to do deliberately because it will not happen of its own accord. There are many influences out there that will hinder you from studying the word of God, but this is where discipline and systems come into play. Create a system that allows you to study the word at certain times of the day. The system should be such that you will follow it no matter what your schedule looks like. It may not be easy, but it is worth it.

When you begin to spend quality time with the word like this, it will build your faith muscles and strengthen your conviction. It will make you bold and unshakable in the face of adversity. So, I admonish you to consider this truth and apply it. You will watch your life move from glory to glory. Praise God!

Today’s Rhema

If you want to be a fully convinced Christian, the key is to invest your time studying and meditating on the Word of God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I thank you for revealing this truth to me. I declare that an appetite for your word is kindled in me, and as I give myself to studying the word, my faith is growing stronger, and my conviction shall become solid in Jesus’ name.
