Allow God to Take the Lead

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know.” (Proverbs 3:5 GNT)

Hurray! It’s a new year—a fresh start, a clean slate, and another opportunity to make your life count. One of the most important decisions you can make this year is to allow God to take the lead in every area of your life. Only He has the wisdom and power to guide you into the future He has ordained for you.

While setting goals and envisioning your aspirations is commendable, you must realize that you cannot achieve them by relying solely on your strength or understanding. This is a common mistake many of God’s people make—they pursue greatness without God’s guidance. But true success and fulfillment come only when you let Him lead.

Beloved, if you want to make this year truly impactful, consciously choose to let God take charge. Step aside and allow Him to work in your life. Ensure that your goals align with His plans for you. Do not chase after things He hasn’t graced you to accomplish. Instead, seek His will and align yourself with it.

The Bible reminds us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the Lord in everything you do, and He will show you the right way.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 GNT). Did you catch that? He will show you the right way. This is the reward of letting God lead. So, put aside your limited understanding and submit to His perfect plan. Rest assured, God will never lead you astray.

You may wonder, How do I know when God is leading me? It’s simple—yield yourself to the Holy Spirit. Pay attention to His promptings and instructions. God speaks to us through His Spirit within, and if you are attentive and surrendered, you won’t miss His voice. This year, commit to listening, trusting, and following His lead. As you do, you will experience victories and breakthroughs like never before. Hallelujah!
