“…these things I have written to you who believe in the name of the son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life……..” 1 John 5:13 (NKJV)

Our opening text communicates to us a simple but profound truth written to believers by John, an apostle of Jesus Christ. In the scripture, there are two main things which he shared that I would like to point out to you because as Christians, it is important for us to know them. First he said “these things I have written to you who believe in the name of the son of God”, which means he wasn’t just writing to everybody but to those who believe in Jesus Christ, that is you and me. Then secondly, he said “that you may know that you have eternal life” which means, he was saying that as believers, you need to fully comprehend this truth that you have eternal life.

Eternal life here means a glorious and fruitful life, a life with quality, a life where you conquer, subdue and dominate in all things.  When he said that “you may know that you have eternal life”, he was trying to let us know that this should be your consciousness and it is not negotiable, period! So, as you journey in your Christian walk, never forget this truth. The reason is because there will always come a time when the devil will stir situations that are contrary to this life you have received in Christ Jesus, but your consciousness and conviction of this life which you have received will help you scale through. So, dwell in the reality of this truth now and all the days of your life.

Today’s Rhema

No matter what the devil throws at you, always remember that in Christ Jesus, you have eternal life and this life is your advantage!

Confession for the Day

Glorious and ever living Father, I thank you for the life you have given to me in Christ Jesus. I choose this day to live in the reality and consciousness of this life and as I do this, victory, dominion and divine health is mine in the name of Jesus. Amen!
