You Can Conceive That Dream by the Holy Spirit

While he was thinking about this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived.” —Matthew 1:20 (GNT)

One of the many lessons from the birth of Jesus is that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and not through natural means. When Joseph found out that Mary was pregnant before they were officially married, the Bible records that “he did not want to disgrace Mary publicly; so he made plans to break the engagement privately” (Matthew 1:19, GNT).

However, God saw what he was about to do and sent an angel who said, “Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary to be your wife. For it is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived” (Matthew 1:20, GNT). Joseph had intended to end the relationship, but the angel of the Lord encouraged him to stay, explaining that the child was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

What I want to bring to your attention is that this was not a natural conception. Protocols were bypassed, and Jesus came into this world to fulfill the purpose of the Father. He was a manifestation of the power and might of God. His birth was proof that God can do anything He wants in the life of anyone.

In the same way He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, there are many dreams and purposes in your life today that you can bring into existence through the power of the Spirit. All you need to do is acknowledge His presence and power. As you strengthen your relationship with Him, you will be amazed at the mighty things you will achieve.

As you celebrate the birth of Jesus this season, remember that you can accomplish great feats through the power of the Holy Spirit who already lives in you. Praise God!
