“You are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” — Galatians 4:7 (NKJV)
Child of God, one of the enemy’s persistent strategies is to make you believe that you are still a slave. He will manipulate situations and stir up circumstances that suggest you’re in bondage—whether it’s to sin, fear, addiction, or failure. But is that truly the case? Absolutely not. According to God’s Word, you are not a slave, but a son.
The Bible says: “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood…” — Colossians 1:13–14 (NKJV). Did you see that? It’s not just a promise—it’s your present reality. You’ve been delivered and transferred. You are now a son in the house of God, not a slave to darkness.
Why is this truth important? Because the moment you start believing you’re still a slave, you give the enemy a foothold. But when you are grounded in the truth of your sonship, it becomes your stronghold and weapon against every lie of the devil.
Many believers today struggle with addiction or patterns of defeat, and they feel helpless, as though they can never be free. But that’s only because the enemy has tricked them into identifying as slaves. Don’t fall for it. Your experience may try to contradict your identity, but the Word of God stands firm: “You are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” — Galatians 4:7 (NKJV)
This means that God has placed you in a position of inheritance and authority. It’s now your responsibility to embrace this identity, grow in this truth, and stand your ground against the devil’s deception. Equip yourself with the knowledge of who you are in Christ, and you will break free from any limitation the enemy tries to place on you.

Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this insightful teaching. I believe in the finished work of Jesus. I believe I have been delivered from the dominion of darkness and catapulted into the kingdom of light. Therefore, I declare that I am no longer a slave but a son and a joint heir with Christ. I walk in authority and dominion every day, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
