“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” – John 15:4 (NKJV)

Beloved, do you want to bear fruit and do great things in life? If so, it’s possible—but not without Jesus. In other words, you need Jesus to bear fruit that will endure and be recognized by God. You might wonder about those in the world who seem successful but aren’t connected to Christ. It’s true that people can achieve things without Jesus, but the reality is that any fruit born outside of Christ won’t last. Such fruit lacks a solid foundation, making it vulnerable to attack from the enemy and unable to extend beyond this world.

The fruit that a believer bears in Christ is not only meaningful here on earth but also holds eternal significance. These fruits speak in this life and into eternity. So, as you walk with God, make it your mission to stay connected to Jesus and abide in Him. Our Lord said, “Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” (John 15:4, NKJV). Did you catch that?

Make a conscious decision to abide in Christ. How? By acknowledging His Word, believing in it, allowing it to take root in your heart, and living by it. Jesus continued, “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it. My Father’s glory is shown by your bearing much fruit, and in this way, you become my disciples. I love you just as the Father loves me; remain in my love. If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.” (John 15:7-10, GNT).

Abide in Jesus, and you will bear fruit that not only matters on earth but also has eternal value. Hallelujah!

Father, I thank You for enlightening my understanding through Your Word. Today, I choose to abide in Christ. As I do, I am bearing fruit in every area of my life and making an impact in my generation, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
