“Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV)

As a believer, one of the most important things you can do in your Christian walk is to copy Jesus—not the world. While this may sound simple, it has the power to save you from many troubles and help you live the life God has called you to live.

You might ask, “Why can’t I copy the world?” The reason is that Jesus is our role model. He came from Heaven to show us how to speak, how to respond to situations, and how to live in a way that pleases God. He revealed God’s ways and opinions about everything in life. By copying Him in all things, we can walk the path of perfection. Paul the Apostle understood this truth, which is why he said, “Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:1, NKJV). Because he chose to copy Jesus, he excelled in his ministry and went on to write many books of the New Testament that guide us today.

Beloved, the benefits of copying Jesus are profound. Make it a priority in your life. The world may look appealing, filled with things that seem cool and worth copying, but they are not. These distractions only lead people astray, turning hearts away from God. Many have fallen into this trap, straying from God’s path and ending up on a road that was never meant for them. Don’t make the same mistake. The Bible says, “the world and everything in it that people desire is passing away; but those who do the will of God live forever.” (1 John 2:17, GNT). Copying Jesus is doing the will of God, and it will keep you on the right path. Hallelujah!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth. I receive grace and wisdom to copy Jesus in all things. As I do, I am walking the path of life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
