Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; —Philippians 4:6 (NKJV)

Sometimes, when we go through difficulties in life, it looks as though we will never come out of them. But the truth remains that no matter what you face, you can overcome it if you have the right perspective and take the right action.

Sadly, many believers today lack the right perspective. When they go through tough times, they get depressed and discouraged, thinking there is no way out. However, that is not true. No matter what you go through, as long as you have Jesus in your life, there is a way out because He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

So, what are you supposed to do? It is simple! Follow the recommendation given to us in the Scriptures:

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; —Philippians 4:6 (NKJV)

Did you see that? It says to be anxious for nothing, meaning God does not want us to be anxious about anything. Instead, He wants us to present our requests before Him through prayer and supplication accompanied by thanksgiving. When we do this, the Bible says:

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:7 (NKJV)

In another translation, it says:

And God’s peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:7 (GNT)

Therefore, refuse to allow anything to bother you. Just do what God wants you to do in faith, and you will surely prevail. Hallelujah!

Today’s Rhema

No matter the odds, refuse to be discouraged; instead, let your requests be made known to God through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for reminding me of Your Word. I choose this day to be joyful and not to worry about anything. I choose to present my requests before You through prayer and supplication. As I do this, I enjoy victory and peace on all sides, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
