“…and many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt…”Daniel 12:2

We are living in the days of the prophecies of the bible. More than 80% of the prophecies about the end times have already been fulfilled and amazingly it is happening before our very eyes. It is obvious that the world is coming to an end, whether it is believed or not. The bible clearly lets us know that “…the world and everything in it that people desire is passing away…” (1 John 2:15 GNB) and we can see this because of the way things are going on in the world today. The question is, what will your eternal future be like? Where will you spend your eternity? As simple as these questions are, they hold a very serious truth, which you must come to terms with. Very many people today are not really thinking about this, so they go about their normal activities and never give a thought to this question. They live their lives without ever having to think about where they will end up when they die. Some have believed a lie that when they die, they will go and be with God as though it is that simple. They forget that going to be with God after life on this earth is over is based on God’s terms and conditions, which you must fulfill before you will be with Him. But they toss aside terms and live as though heaven is for all. But the truth remains that, heaven is not for everybody, it is for only those who prepared for it and that preparation begins here and now, while you are in the earth.

Many people prepare for everything in this world except for their eternal future. They prepare to go to school, prepare to get married, prepare to have a good job in the future, but they never deem it necessary to prepare for eternity, which is as real as this very world we are in right now. Beloved let your eternal destination be a concern to you. Let it be a major thing in your heart that you live conscious of on a regular basis because whether you like it or not, it will certainly come. For each day that passes by, the day draws near when you will depart this world. For some people, it might take longer while for some people it might be shorter than expected. But a prepared man does not get troubled about this. So begin today to ponder on this truth. Being a philanthropist, a kind and good person will not guarantee you a peaceful eternity. Wealth and a nice job will not guarantee you a peaceful eternity. The only thing that guarantees you a peaceful eternity is your life in Jesus Christ the risen Lord who paid the price for you and took your sins away. It is only in His name salvation can be found (Acts 4:12) for whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13) and it is only in His blood your sins can be washed away (Matthew 26:28, Acts 2:38). So take this seriously and give it a thought. Your eternal destination should be your utmost priority. This is not about religion; it is about where YOU will spend your eternity. In our opening scripture the bible states that a day is coming when many of those who sleep (died) in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt…” Daniel 12:2. The choice is completely yours. If you are in Christ already, rejoice and work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) but if you are not, I advise you ponder on this and make a decision, being eternally lost is the worst thing that can happen to any man. God bless you!

TODAY’S RHEMA

Being eternally lost is the worst thing that can happen to any man!

CONFESSION FOR THE DAY

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ. I believe He is your son, I believe He died for me, I believe He was raised up from the dead after three days and I believe He has ascended to heaven, therefore I declare that Jesus is the Lord of my life and will continually be the Lord of my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
