WHERE ARE YOU PRAYING FROM? (2)

“…And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up….”James 5:15 (NKJV)

Having established the importance of praying from a place of faith, someone might say but how do I do this? Well, there are three key ways to pray from a place of faith. First of all, you must learn to study the word of God intensively and extensively. Now, the reason for this is because the Bible says, “…faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God…” Romans 10:17 ( NKJV). Every time you study the word of God before prayers, your faith in God and in His ability rises and when you pray, you will always pray from that place of confidence and trust me, such prayers will always bear fruits. So learn to study the Bible first before you pray.

The second way in which you can pray from a place of faith is to pray with fasting. Although the idea of fasting has been played down on because some people feel they have prayed and fasted but nothing happened. However, the truth remains that the prayer done with fasting, is a prayer done from a place of faith because at that point there are no food hindrances within you. All your faculties of prayer are centered on the prayer. Your confidence level increases and when you make decrees, you do it in faith with no obstruction or whatsoever. One of the reasons our Lord Jesus Christ said to His disciples “…this kind only comes out by prayer and fasting…” Matthew 17:21, is because with fasting included, your prayers come from a place of faith. So, the next time you want to achieve any major thing in prayers, add fasting to it.

Finally, the third way you can pray from a place of faith is through praying in tongues. The Bible says ” But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” Jude 1:20 (NKJV). Did you see that? Whenever you pray in tongues or in the Holy Spirit, you are praying in your highest point of faith. So, you must learn to pray in tongues often if you truly want to pray from a place of faith. When you combine these three ways of praying from a place of faith, you will always see results follow. Hallelujah!

Thank you Father for this eye opening article, I choose this day to pray from a place of faith and not doubt. I choose to give attention to your word and pray from that point of confidence. I choose to add fasting to my prayers and as I do, I am bearing real fruits in Jesus name. Amen!
