“Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.” — Matthew 7:12 (NKJV)
As a believer, you must be careful and conscious of how you treat the people around you, regardless of their beliefs, color, or nationality. The reason is simple: the way you treat others will determine how others will treat you. In other words, the treatment you give to others is a seed that will bear fruit and return to you. If you treat people respectfully, you will receive respect from others. But if you treat people poorly, you will receive the same in return.
Therefore, you must be intentional about how you treat others. Our opening text says, “…whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets…” — Matthew 7:12 (NKJV). Did you see that? As clear as this is, you will still find believers who treat others poorly, especially those who render services to them. This is not the kind of life God has called us to live.
So, you must begin to make adjustments in this area. Remember, you are not superior to others; therefore, you shouldn’t treat them wrongly. You must learn to treat others with love and respect. This is what proves that you have encountered Christ and are walking in the truth of His word.
The next time you are tempted to treat someone poorly, remember that you are about to sow a seed, and that seed will come back to you, one way or another. Hallelujah!

If you treat others with disdain, you can be sure to receive the same treatment in the near future!
Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this wonderful truth you have communicated to me. Henceforth, I refuse to treat others the wrong way. Instead, I choose to treat others with love and respect. And as I do this, my relationship with others is improving, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
