“I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.” Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV)

As you journey in your walk with God, one of the things you must always watch out for is what God is saying or is going to say. The reason for this is that when you are interested in what God is saying or has said, you will not make mistakes or go astray. Today, you find that many of God’s people have literally gone astray. You find them doing businesses they are not supposed to be doing; you find them traveling on a path they are not supposed to be traveling; and they wonder why God is not helping them. Well, the reason it seems God is not helping them is because God only sponsors what He authorizes.

Therefore, if you want to travel the path that God has ordained for you to travel, you must make a conscious decision to watch out for what God has to say or is saying. The Prophet Habakuk had an understanding of this truth, and he said, I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV) He knew it was Important for him to pay attention to what God was saying so he could know the next step to take in his journey with God.

Beloved, make up your mind to give attention to what God is saying so that the steps you take in your life will be steps that are sanctioned by God. When you do this, you will certainly not miss the mark, but hit the right chord every time you strike. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Heavenly, father, I am grateful for the wisdom you have given me today. I receive grace to patiently and eagerly watch out for what you have to say each time. As I give myself to this practice, I receive divine guidance, counsel, and direction every day of my life in Jesus name. Amen!
