“…for you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light….”Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV)
As a believer there are some specific truths you must know about your Christian walk to help you live the life God has called you to live. One of those things you must know is that you are light in the Lord, therefore you must walk as children of light. In other words, the activities you engage in must be activities that promote light not darkness.
Sadly, that is not the case today, many of God’s people still walk in the path of darkness and promote the works of darkness. And They don’t see anything wrong with it because to them it’s just a normal way to live. But Paul the Apostle gives us a clue about what we should know and do. He said, “…you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light….”Ephesians 5:8 (NKJV). Did you see that? This lets us know that before we received Jesus into our lives, we were darkness and the works of darkness were inevitable. But now, that we have received Jesus into our lives we are now light and God expects us to walk as children of light.
So, as you journey in your Christian walk, become conscious of this truth. The devil will tempt you to walk in the path of darkness but reject it because you no longer belong to that system. You now belong to a new system and government and that is that path you ought to walk in. It is the fruits of light you ought to bear because you are light now. So, whatever you do, make a conscious decision to walk as light because you are light. Hallelujah!

Whatever you do, do not bear the fruits of darkness because you are no longer of that system, you are light now!
Confession for the Day
Glorious and ever living Father, I am grateful for changing my status from darkness to light. I choose to walk in the reality of this truth from today and as I do, I am manifesting light in all areas of my life in the name of Jesus. Amen!
