“The woman then left her waterpot, went her way into the city, and said to the men, ‘Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did. Could this be the Christ?’ Then they went out of the city and came to Him.” — John 4:28–30 (NKJV)

In the first part of this article, we explored the power of sharing your testimonies. But you might still wonder—what is it about testimonies that makes them so important? Why should we bother?

There are two key truths about testimonies that every child of God should understand. First, God gives you testimonies so that your faith and conviction in Him can be strengthened. Many people can only relate to what they’ve personally experienced. When you’ve had a real encounter with God, it becomes nearly impossible for anyone to convince you otherwise. God allows you to experience His goodness so that your faith becomes rooted, and when the time comes to share your story, you can do so with passion and bold conviction.

Second, testimonies are powerful tools in the hands of God. He comes through for you not only for your benefit but so that He can use your experience to reach others going through the same situation. If someone is battling a serious illness and struggling to believe in divine healing, hearing how God healed you can ignite faith in them. Your testimony becomes a bridge to their breakthrough.

So, never treat your testimony lightly. It is more than a personal story—it is an instrument that God can use to bring healing, deliverance, and transformation to others. Every time you share it, you’re giving God something to work with. Let your testimony become a seed of hope and a spark of faith in someone else’s life.

The next time you’re prompted to share the Gospel, don’t worry about having all the right words—just tell your story. Let God do the rest. Praise God!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am grateful for this wonderful tool You have given to us. I choose this day to share my testimonies whenever I have the opportunity, and as I do, many shall encounter You and experience life-changing transformation, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
