For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death — (Romans 8:2 NKJV)
When Adam sinned, something significant happened to the entire human race. The law of sin and death was activated, because God had already declared that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Through this law, humanity came under the dominion of Satan. It became the legal ground upon which the devil manipulated, frustrated, and afflicted mankind. Man became a lawful captive, and the enemy exploited this for generations—until our Lord Jesus Christ came and paid the ultimate price.
Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus broke the dominion of Satan. Now, anyone who believes in Him is set free from the devil’s legal hold and made right with God.
Today, as believers, we are free because of Jesus’ resurrection. His resurrection brought us justification. The Bible says, He was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification (Romans 4:25 NKJV). We are no longer guilty—we stand justified before the Father.
Furthermore, the resurrection activated a new law: the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. As the Bible records, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2 NKJV). This means the devil has lost every legal ground over your life. The law of sin and death is no longer active because you are now in Christ and one with Him.
So I encourage you today—celebrate this victory and live in the daily awareness of it. Refuse to be afraid of Satan’s activities. You are now operating from a higher realm, for you are seated together with Christ in the heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6). Praise God!

Confession for the Day
Father, I am grateful for this wonderful revelation You have brought to me today. I thank You for all You have done for me in Christ Jesus. I choose to live in the consciousness of this reality, and as I do, I dominate my world and live above every work and activity of Satan in my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
