“…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you…” Matthew 6:33

Do you want to receive presents from God? Well, it is possible, but you must seek the kingdom and its righteousness first. In other words, you must create time for God and His statutes and the blessings of God that you desire will begin to flow in your life. Unfortunately, we live in a world today where so much is emphasised on hard work and when they see you giving so much time to the things of God, they mock you and think you are a fanatic. But the truth remains that while hard work is good, it is not a complete truth. It is true for the people of the world, but for us in the kingdom of God, we have a different approach which has been recommended to us by God Himself. Now, God’s recommendation and man’s recommendation, which would you, rather go for? I think, you would want to go God’s recommendation because it guarantees a life of victory. Believe me; life doesn’t have to be hard if you choose to do things God’s way. Remember He is the author and the finisher of our faith. Don’t try to live your life with your own power or opinion; it did not come to you with your own power. Depend on the one who gave you life and follow what He says not what you think.

Over the years, I have seen people struggle so hard just to make things work, they invested so much time in trying to make things work but with all the time invested, things did not change. But there were other people who invested their time in seeking God and worshiping Him, they ended up with great blessings because they gave attention to what matters in life, and that is God, who is the author of life. Today, be encouraged to go for God’s presence because that is what qualifies you for His presents. Don’t depend on your own wisdom or strength. The Bible says in Psalm 127: 1-2 “if the Lord does not build the house, the work of the builders is useless; if the Lord does not protect the city, it is useless for the sentries to stand guard. It is useless to work so hard for a living, getting up early and going to bed late. For the Lord provides for those He loves while they are asleep.” Be wise!

Today’s Rhema

Don’t try to live your life with your own power; it did not come to you with your own power!

Confession for the Day

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for making your words clear to me, I decree that my thirst for you will continue to grow and increase. As the deer pants for water that is how I will seek for your presence now and all the days of life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
