“…now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” Mark 1:23‭-‬24 (NKJV)

Do you know the Lord? Do you know what His Name is capable of? Our opening scripture tells of a man who was possessed of satanic spirits, and when they saw Jesus, they immediately started giving account of who they knew Him to be. First, they screamed, “leave us alone.” Now, remember, Jesus had not even touched Him or spoken a word, but His very presence intimidated them, and put fear in them. They asked Him, “Have you come to destroy us?” Isn’t this wonderful to hear? That demon spirit recognized Jesus as the demon-destroyer and demon-slayer. They had occupied their host for a long time, destroying his life, and here they were panicking at the presence of Jesus, afraid of being destroyed. Then the demon shouted, “I know who you are – the Holy one of Israel.”-Mark 1:24 Wow!

The demons knew who Jesus was and they trembled. Beloved, do you see the caliber of person our Lord Jesus Christ is? Do you understand the extent of His power and what He can do in your life? Remember, demons see Him and they tremble, they hear of Him and they fear destruction. The one they fear is the one you were given on a platter, discover Him and take advantage of all you have been given in Him. This knowledge will change your life. God bless you.

Today’s Rhema

Demons fear Him and they tremble, therefore be proud of your union with Him!

Confession for the Day

Father, I am so grateful for the word you have brought to me today. My heart is nourished and my faith is stirred up. I decree therefore, that my confidence in the Lord Jesus and what He represents in my life has increased and for this reason I am walking in dominion and power, now and all the days of my life. Hallelujah!
